Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is an inclusive and innovative institution based in British Columbia, Canada. From its scenic campuses in Kamloops and William’s Lake, the University empowers students to reach their academic and personal goals.
There are higher-education opportunities to suit every student at TRU. You can choose from 140 on-campus programs, as well as 50 online or distance learning courses. With everything from academics to trade apprenticeships, and certificates to graduate programs, your options are almost endless.
You’ll become a valued member of the wolfpack while studying at TRU. The University’s WolfPack Athletics program sees students compete in sports including volleyball, basketball, and soccer.

Students of outstanding sporting ability who demonstrate athletic excellence by qualifying for one of TRU’s Varsity Teams may be considered for an athletic scholarship that could cover up to 50% of tuition fees. Scholarship recipients must be full-time academic (not taking ESL) students.
International students accepted and enrolled in TRU’s two-year Engineering Transfer program will be considered. Two new international students per year will be selected to receive a $3,000 scholarship each divided over four semesters ($1,000 first year and $2,000 a second year).
$5,000 per student is available to all qualified international students who are enrolled in the Juris Doctor program.
Legendary Mexican football star Jorge Campos and Thompson Rivers University have teamed up to create a new scholarship program for students from Mexico.
The Jorge Campos Award provides outstanding students with full tuition for a year of study at Thompson Rivers, a leading study destination in Canada for students from around the world.
The scholarship is open only to Mexican citizens currently enrolled in a full-time program of studies in Mexico.
US citizens admitted to a TRU undergraduate program of two years or longer are eligible for an automatic scholarship of $2,000 per student.
Students from the Bahamas (or Jamaica if there are no eligible applicants from The Bahamas) entering an undergraduate program in the Faculty of Adventure, Culinary Arts and Tourism or the School of Business and Economics will automatically be considered to receive a $7,500 award. Selection is based on the student's academic record and recommendations from their admission file assessment. If no applicants are available from The Bahamas or Jamaica, the next choice would be a student from the Caribbean.
