The University of Newcastle (UoN), also referred to as Newcastle University, is a public university located in Callaghan, New South Wales, Australia. There are also campuses in Ourimbah, Port Macquarie, Singapore and Sydney.

UoN Student Living is the University's on-campus accommodation precinct at the Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses. Student Living provides a range of support services for students, including 24-hour support and well-being services, a dedicated health and well-being coordinator, academic support and 24/7 security.
There are over 80 student clubs and societies that you can join covering a range of areas, including politics, faith, culture, charity and sports.

Life as an international student
Orientation (known as “O Week”) is your first week at UoN as an international student before classes start. It includes information sessions that will give you practical information about living and studying at the University, as well as a range of social activities and off-campus outings to help you get to know the area and make new friends.
During your time at UoN, you’ll have access to a range of support systems and services like student information hubs, careers guidance and advice, clubs and societies, and student mentors. You can also access programs to build skills, free legal advice, 7 state-of-the-art libraries, health and welfare advisers, disability support and financial support.

Fees and funding
At The University of Newcastle, Australia, the price of tuition varies for each student, based on your level of study, program of study, and the individual courses that you take. The deposit may not cover the full cost of your first term of fees.
You may also be qualified to apply for a scholarship based on your home country, academic performance, or area of study. Scholarships include financial support for students from diverse backgrounds, rewards for academic excellence and funding for research students.
