Study abroad at Charles Sturt University, Melbourne

Charles Sturt University is a public university based in New South Wales, Australia. It’s named after the explorer Charles Sturt who was one of the first Europeans to venture to inland Australia. The University offers over 300 programs, as well as Study Centers designed for international students.

The University’s Melbourne Study Center has two locations within a short walk of each other in the center of the city. Both offer easy access to rail, tram and bus transport, and you can study a range of undergraduate and graduate programs covering business, accounting and IT among others.

The Melbourne Study Center offers international a range of facilities, including student break-out and study areas, computer teaching laboratories, a well-equipped library, digitally equipped teaching facilities, and a student common room.

Life as an international student

As an international student at the CSU Melbourne Study Center, you’ll be living in one of the safest and most livable cities in the world. You will live and learn alongside other international students, and have access to a range of support services including qualified counselors and careers advice.

You can choose to live with a local English speaking family, which is a great way to learn about life in Australia and improve your language skills. All homestay families are approved by the university and have previous hosting experience. You can also live in residences alongside other students studying across the city, or rent your own private accommodation.

As a new student at the Study Center you will take part in orientation, which will help you get to grips with life in Melbourne and meet new people. There’s also plenty of social activities and events you can get involved with, including movie nights, day trips, yoga classes, BBQs and games nights.

The Church Lane centre is located in a contemporary building with state-of-the-art facilities in the CBD. We have recently created the Bourke Street centre specifically for business students. The centres are within a three-minute walk of each other, and both offer convenient access to rail, tram and bus transport.
