I like Troy University. The campus are beautiful and i have always felt safe here. The city is mostly walkable but there are certain parts where you have to travel by car, but even then, transportations are always provided. The American students here are very accepting of international students and they also showed interest in learning about other countries. The nightlife may be a little limited but it’s easy to make friends here

Troy is pretty small, but the people here are very friendly and helpful. As soon as I arrived I felt at home. A lot of people offered me help. There is a bus that would give you rides through Troy and there are some bars and restaurants downtown.

The city is safe. However, there is no public transportation, nor lifts, nor ubers, nor taxis... and every is far apart. For example, when my car broke down earlier this year, I was very restricted. It was hard to get to places.

Troy is a very small town. Therefore, there are only two bars and recreational activities outside the university are limited. There are plenty of outdoor activities that you can do nearby, but it is significantly hard to do it without access to a car. The university provides shuttles to grocery stores nearby, which is always helpful.
